National Fitness Day 2021

To celebrate National Fitness Day and to help promote exercise for a healthier lifestyle, we are sharing two Yoga practices for you to do at home from our wonderful instructor Caroline.

The first is a 20-minute practice; an invigorating and revitalising morning yoga session, designed to wake your body up.

Before you start:

– Try and clear the room of any clutter if you can to make it easier to focus
on your practice
– Have a drink handy
– You will need a yoga block (or a cushion is a great alternative) and a mat if
you are on a hard floor

The second is a 30-minute wind down / bedtime yoga practice for you to do at the end of the day to help you unwind, destress and get a restful night’s sleep.  It’s a quieter practice that will start with some flow yoga on the floor, followed by some yin style holds, before finishing up with a relaxation section.

Before you start:

– Try and clear the room of any clutter if you can, dim the lights, perhaps light some candles or this practice could even be done in your bed should you wish
– You will need a yoga block (or a cushion is a great alternative) and we recommend a blanket for the relaxation session at the end.  And if you are not in bed, then a mat is recommended if you are on a hard floor.

These videos will remain here until the 15th October after which they will be moved to the on demand section of our Club Towers Live site.
